Open Account Settlement using standardized Interledger "Containers"

Process Flow

Hover over the steps to trace the Open Account settlement and observe the token logistics.

Invoice Exchange

Supplier issues an Invoice. The Buyer records the initial Accounts Payable (AP). The Supplier records Accounts Receivable (AR).

Payment Delivery Trigger

The Buyer debits AP to clear the liability, moving funds into the Pmt Delivery transit account, subsequently instructing their Customer Account (Bank Deposit) to initiate payment.

Port Loading (Clear to Wallet)

Funds exit the Customer Account into the Settlement Engine. They pass through the Clear Acct and Plt Acct to be "containerized" by the Wallet.

Universalized Logistics (End-to-End)

Observe the token journey: Value leaves the Buyer's Deposit, gets packed into an ILP Packet (the standardized container) at the Wallet, crosses the "Ocean" (Ledger), is unpacked, and lands in the Supplier's Deposit.

Port Unloading & Pmt Receiver

The Supplier's Wallet receives the container. Funds hit the Settlement Engine, rise up to credit the Supplier's Customer Account, and trigger the Pmt Receiver transit account.

Final Settlement (Pmt Stock)

Feedback loops confirm execution. Funds are moved from Pmt Receiver into final Pmt Stock (Treasury/Cash). The invoice is definitively reconciled and paid.
